With Valentines around the corner it got me thinking.....
How is the word Love being used? For many years I've Loved the only way I knew how to.
Whatever I saw as a child and how my circle of friends Loved is what I picked up on.
My so called Love was given away foolishly to those that were undeserving.
My way of making a man Love me was to give him the most valuable part of me, A part of me that wasn't his to begin with, a part of me that is for the Man God has for me.
And with that brought heartache, pain and a load of bad choices.
Later on I went through a period of reflecting and doing lots of self cleaning and that's where God met me. In the mist of Gods presence I was able to learn more of Loving Gods way NOT my way.
Here's what I've learned!:
- Love your neighbor as u love yourself
- Human love - the love u should have for one another and towards God
- Love is the act of caring for someone
- Love is learning to except the good and the bad & the ugly
- Don't Love through Fantasy
- Real Love brings a measure of beauty and Joy
- Passion is Good but Real Love Exceeds Passion
- Love brings out the best in us
- Love does not do no harm
- Love is patient love is kind
- Love is not boasting or proud
- Love is not rude
- Love Does not demand its own way
- Love keeps no record of wrong
- Love never loses faith
- Love endures through every circumstance
- Love gives you power over your anger
- Love says I can wait and still Love you
- Love works at being understanding
- Does not come in with tit for tat
- Love doesn’t intentionally ruin someone’s feelings
- Love is persistent even when people are not nice to them
- Love is not jealous
- Love rejoices when others are blessed
- Love does not expect to be treated like a queen when love comes home
-Love is not stubborn or unteachable
- Love does not demand its own way
- Love does not look for ways to find faults
- Love tolerates mistakes
- Love Prays
- Love Hopes
- Love always protects
- Love works to build trust
My prayer is for each and everyone of us to walk in His Love every single day not just one day.
When I think about how patient God has been with me it really sets the stage for me to understand and be more patient with others, our partners, our children and people we have to deal with on a day to day bases. Let us all remember to Thank God today and everyday for Loving us.
Happy Love Day!
