Growing up in Brooklyn and the oldest of eight siblings hasn’t always been easy. With life’s up and downs and family issue it would have been easy to go down the wrong road...but because of the love of God, I chose to go down a different path that led me to grow mentally, spiritually and emotionally in ways I never thought I could.

Coming from a broken home, being the third oldest out of 8 brothers and sisters was definitely a challenge.
My experiences left me with planted seeds of rejection, resentment, bitterness, insecurities, early motherhood and a load of bad choices. Through it all I had an urge to want to become closer to God and in that process, I’ve learned to take ownership of my wrongs, to forgive, to love, to heal, and to walk in His obedience. I stand here today forever grateful and renewed by His Grace.

At age 11, angry, suicidal and hopeless, I ran away into the music industry hoping to help young girls, like me, find solace in music. As soon as success came, however, because I didn't know my worth, I became a product. After years in the industry I realized that there was still a void in my life, so when asked to go to a Christian church in 2007, I decided to give God a chance. There, I had a life-changing encounter with His presence and never looked back.
